Gale (Meyer) Decker, 72, of Cumming, Ga., formerly of Festus, died Oct. 18, 2024, at Northside Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, Ga. Ms. Decker worked as an executive assistant for Equicorp Partners Management. She worked and lived in Atlanta for many years. She enjoyed art, music, reading, studying French and spending time with friends and family, especially her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Born June 17, 1952, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Irma Margaret (Naes) and Hubert Pius “Hup” Meyer.
She is survived by five siblings: Carol Meyer of Festus, Nancy (Richard) Bay of De Soto, Paul (Peggy) Meyer of Barnhart, Rose (CAPT. Thomas) Hoffmann of Maryland and Tom Meyer of Pevely.
She was preceded in death by two siblings: Janice Lynn Hornsey and Ellen (the late Richard) Fox.
Visitation is scheduled from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W Main, in Festus. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery in Herculaneum. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
