Evelyn Mae Lee, 92, of New Florence, formerly of Fenton, died Feb. 12, 2026, at Aspire Senior Living in New Florence. Mrs. Lee enjoyed the outdoors and, in her younger years, she could be seen water skiing, riding motorcycles or playing softball. She enjoyed caring for her lawn and fixing things that were broken. She loved animals, especially her Lilly. She attended Fenton United Methodist Church until she was no longer able. Born March 3, 1933, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Luella (Sims) Rushton.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Frank Runge Jr. and Kenneth Lee.
She is survived by a brother: Eddie (Judy) Rushton of Bevier; a brother-in-law: Danny Craigg of New Cambria; three children: Paula West of New Florence, Linda (Tom) Pinson of Montgomery City and Don (Linda) Runge of St. Charles; a stepson: Kenny (Anne) Lee of New Brunswick, Canada; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Marian Wood and Vivian Craigg; and a stepson: Jimmy Lee.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
