Eva Mildred (Marberry) Jones, 86, of Arnold died Feb. 4, 2025, at her home. Mrs. Jones was a member of the First Baptist Church of Herculaneum-Pevely. She worked in food service for Fox C-6 School District and worked in retail for Christopher and Banks. She enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, shopping for clothes, planting flowers in her yard, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Born Dec. 23, 1938, in Herculaneum, she was the daughter of the late Grace (Oldham) and Clarence Marberry.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Eugene (Allen) Jones Sr.
She is survived by three children: Eugene (Diana) Jones Jr. of Arnold, Debra (Terry) Stotler of Festus and Rebecca (Chris) Everard of Festus; a sister: Jayne (Dave) Lambert of Festus; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a grandson: Timothy Stotler; and four siblings: James (Linda survives) Marberry, Virginia “Ruth” (Earl survives) Wallenbrock, Richard (Mary Ann) Marberry, and Donna Boots.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home, 9115 Commercial Blvd., in Pevely. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at First Baptist Church of Herculaneum-Pevely, 1315 Abbey Lane, in Pevely, officiated by Pastor Jeff Purvis and Pastor Jeff Everard. Burial will follow in Herculaneum Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Hillcrest Funeral Home.
