Eunice Margaret Gibbar, 99, of Crystal City died Feb. 6, 2024, at Meramec Bluffs Lutheran Senior Services in Ballwin. Mrs. Gibbar was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary 253, Crystal City Boat Club and the women’s bowling league at Quonset Lanes. Born Oct. 20, 1924, in Festus, she was the daughter of the late Bessie Rose (Thomure) and Arthur Hermann Lee.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George L. Gibbar.
She is survived by a niece: Laura (Connie Huber) Muir of St. Louis; and a nephew: Capt. James A. (Pat) Muir, U.S. Navy retired of Manchester.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Dorothy Rose (the late John Edward) Muir; and a nephew: John Edward (Vicki survives of St. Peters) Muir Jr.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. today, Feb. 9, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 1204 Missouri Ave., in Crystal City, officiated by Father Stephen Lian. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
