
Edward Albert Crochunis, 90, of Herculaneum died Sept. 22, 2025, at the de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis. Mr. Crochunis served in the U.S. Air Force, the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves. He worked at the Chrysler assembly plant in Fenton before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved watching his grandchildren partake in many activities. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the casino and watching his favorite football team, the Penn State Nittany Lions. One to never meet a stranger, he was known to make lasting friendships while working on puzzles at Autumn Ridge. Born June 6, 1935, in Pottsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Edith (Marcolla) and Peter Albert Crochunis.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Marline (Kettler) Crochunis; four children: John (Jeannie) Crochunis, Darlene (Crochunis) Linderer, Michelle (Paul) Isermann and Jim (Marla) Dugan; a sister: Alice (Ray) Horan; two nephews: Luke Zubris and Zachary Zubris; eight grandchildren: Courtney (Luke) Claspille, Joe (Kara) Dugan, Jake (Tami) Dugan, Josh (Laura) Dugan, Carlie (Kyle) Uhlig, Hannah Dewitt, Cohen Linderer and Cash Linderer; and seven great-grandchildren: Kyryn Miller, Arya Claspille, Naomi Claspille, Sutton Dugan, Jestin Dugan, James Dugan and Carson Uhlig.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Cecelia (Jack) Zubris.
Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks at a later date.
