Edna Marie (Robart) Merseal, 93, of De Soto died Nov. 19, 2025. Mrs. Merseal was known for her nurturing spirit and for keeping friends and family in her thoughts and prayers. She enjoyed splitting wood, cooking on her wood stove until the age of 89, square dancing, being outdoors, hunting mushrooms, tending her garden and farm, popping beans, shucking corn, listening to country music and JOY FM Radio and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born Aug. 21, 1932, in Cadet, she was the daughter of the late Rosella (Thebeau) and Paul Robart.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James William Merseal, whom she married on May 27, 1950.
She is survived by four children: Susan (Henry) Heuer, Linda Ann Coleman, Jim (Angie) Merseal and Cindy (Joe) Goff; 12 grandchildren: Tina (Don) Thurman, Steve Heuer, Jennifer (Tony) Boyster, Suzanne (Justin) Merklin, James Coleman, Andrew (Jennifer) Coleman, Robert (Tonya) Coleman, Anthony (Erin) Merseal, Scott (Marie) Merseal, Billy (Jen) Tidwell, Jeremy Tidwell and Brian Goff; several great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law: Lucille "Girly" Guenther; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers: Lloyd, Daley and Ivan Robart; three sisters: Bertha Ross, Lucy Sutton and Cynthia Portell; and two grandchildren: Ted William Heuer and Matthew Vincent Goff.
Services were Nov. 22 at Moore Funeral Home in Potosi, officiated by Pastor Jimmy Wade and Pastor Sam Mosker. Burial was in St. Joachim Catholic Church Cemetery in Old Mines. Pallbearers were Jim Merseal, Joe Goff, Rob Coleman, Brian Goff, Scott Merseal and Steve Heuer. Arrangements were under the direction of Moore Funeral Home.
