Edgar Barnes Smith, 64, of Kinston, N.C., formerly of Festus, died May 10, 2025, in Wilmington, N.C. Mr. Smith attended Festus High School. Born Dec. 10, 1960, he was the son of the late Mary (James) and Edgar Barnes Smith.
He is survived by three sisters: Donna (Albert) Spicer of Festus, Edith (Donald) Sutton of Kinston, N.C., and Dorie White of Kinston, N.C.; his close friend: Jeff Spicer; and many other family members and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 19, at Buren Chapel, 301 South Adams St., in Festus, officiated by Pastor Donna Evans.
