Duane D. "Nick" Nixon, 80 of Arnold died Sept. 6, 2026. Mr. Nixon was an Air Force Vietnam veteran, and his career furthered in the Ice Cream Specialties Corporation and at the Chrysler Plant in St. Louis. His favorite pastime was fishing. Born April 5, 1946, he was the son of the late Edward and Pauline (Strother) Nixon.
He is survived by his wife: Eileen N. (Payton) Nixon; three children: Deanna Redineer, Nancy (Randy) Farthing and Marie (Jerry) Bridgeman; and a grandchild: Katrina Farthing.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Alfred (Ethel) Nixon.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A graveside service will follow at Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
