Horn, Donald

Donald L. Horn, 78, of Eureka died Oct. 8, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Horn enlisted in 1969. He was the former business owner of Lockbox Mail Delivery and was a post mate of North Jeff Eagles 4248 and a member of American Legion 0177, Cedar Hill Elks 2678, Knights of Columbus in House Springs and the High Ridge VFW 6516. Born Sept. 8, 1946, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Winaferd and John Horn Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Velta Horn of Eureka; three children: James (Barbie) Wilson, Michele (Darren Davidson) Wilson and Kimberly (David) Woolston; four siblings: John (Jeanie) Horn, Melissa Hauschultz, Harland (Theresa) Horn and Gert (Vic) Thomiser; nine grandchildren: James Wilson of Eureka, Valeene (Joshua) Daniel of High Ridge, Michael Wilson of Eureka, Tanya (Mike) Hoefelmann of Eureka, Rachel Barton of Eureka, Alicia Woolston of St. Louis, Amilia Woolston of Kansas, Jaclyn Davidson of Florida and Veronica Davidson of Florida; and six great-grandchildren: Wynnie Daniel, Eliana Barton, Cameron Barton, Caroleena Wahl, Tony Barton and Devin Barton.

Visitation is scheduled for 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at Kutis Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Home.
