Goad, Donald

Donald Goad, 90, of Dittmer died Feb. 17, 2025. Mr. Goad was the owner of the Standard Oil Station and both the Short Stop and the Weh-Go Oil in High Ridge. He was devoted to and loved spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed many hours finishing and being at his home on the Lake of the Ozarks. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication and the love and laughter he shared. Born Sept.16, 1934, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Henry Goad and Maxine (Hinkle) Goad.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Dolores Goad.

He is survived by a son: Bruce Goad Sr.; three grandchildren: Bruce J. Goad Jr., Corey M. Goad and Brendan Goad; a brother: John (Sandy) Goad; a brother-in-law: Ronnie Santhuff; and a sister-in-law: Joyce Bouse-Miller.

He also was preceded in death by a brother: Norman (Helen) Goad; two brothers-in-law: Bob (Lelah) Santhuff and Bill (Pat) Santhuff; and two sisters-in-law: Shirley (Lyman) Monroe and Lori Lee Anderson.

Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
