
Dianne Carolyn (Akers) Womack, 82, of Festus died Dec. 6, 2024, in Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve. Mrs. Womack was a florist for Festus Flowers for 15 years and was an Avon saleswoman. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Hematite Christian Church in Hematite. Born Nov. 8, 1942, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Clerence E. Akers and Hazel Mary (Evans) Akers.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald J. Womack Sr.
She is survived by two children: Donald (Donna) Womack Jr. of Festus and Robin (Charles) LaChance of Benton, Ky.; two grandchildren: Tiffany (Jarrod) Pashia and Donald (Angela) Womack III; three great-grandchildren: Olivia Pashia, Gesina Womack and Jay Womack IV; two sisters: Elaine Schleeper and Sheila (Claude) Wright; a sister-in-law: Marita Akers; numerous nieces and nephews; and many family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by four siblings: Shirley Buckley, Howard Akers, Everett (Dee) Akers and Lois Taylor.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Mahn Twin City Chapel, 515 Collins Ave., in Festus, officiated by Terry Crank. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Serenity Hospice, 5272 Flat River Road, Park Hills, 63601, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
