Diane Sue Ashby, 75, of Festus died Jan. 29, 2025, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. After graduating high school, Ms. Ashby moved to Missouri in 1971 and settled in Festus. She was a member of the Eagles Club in Festus and enjoyed spending time there with her friends. She will be remembered for her good sense of humor. Born April 12, 1949, in Pekin, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Nancy (Peak) and Gilmond (Ken) Ashby.
She is survived by her significant other: Wilburn Wiles of Festus; two daughters: Stacy Danz of Cartersville, Ga., and Jennifer (Steve) Rackley of Springfield; a sister: Beverly (Jim) Ashby of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren: Zackery Danz, Zayne Danz, Treydon (Aleksei) Rackley and Trent (Kaitlyn) Rackley; a great-grandchild: Cash Rackley; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Juanita Crum Reilly and Linda King.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Coplin Funeral Home in Park Hills.
