Deborah Ann Kleier-Short, 67, of De Soto died Jan. 5, 2024. Mrs. Kleier-Short worked for Brinks Home Security and she was a member of Gracelife Chapel De Soto. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her adopted triplets, crocheting and attending church. Born March 4, 1956, in Belleville, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Virginia A. (Lynch) and Wayne S. Kleier.
She was preceded in death by her husband: George M. Short.
She is survived by three sons: David W. (Sabrina Becker) Edsall of Edwardsville, Ill., Larry M. Edsall of Caseyville, Ill. and Robert J. (Gloria Ripley) Edsall of Collinsville, Ill.; four daughters: DJ Davis of Union, Gwendolyn Davis of De Soto, Gracie Davis of De Soto and Gianna Davis of DeSoto; a brother: Bobby W. Kleier of Belleville, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Eugenia S. Davis.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until funeral services at noon Friday, Jan. 26, at Mahn Funeral Home, 900 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Pastor Ron John. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to Gracelife Chapel, Jeffco 1 Victory Drive, Pevely, 63070. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
