David “Dave” Tucker, 86, of Festus died May 31, 2025, at his home. Mr. Tucker served in the U.S. Marine Corps and later dedicated 35 years of work to River Cement. He was known as a man of quiet strength, deep loyalty and love for his family. He will be remembered for the stories and values he shared with others. Mr. Tucker was born Jan. 14, 1939.
He is survived by his wife of more than 50 years: Paulette; three children: Davina (Matt) Brown, David (Carmen) Tucker and Suzi (Daniel) Schoonover; six grandchildren: Kaitlin McCabe, Austin (Claire) Richmond, Haley Tucker, Hannah Tucker, Tyler Tucker and Trenton Tucker; four great-granddaughters; a sister: Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters: Kristina and Victoria; and his brother: Donald.
A celebration of life is scheduled from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at Mr. Tucker’s home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
