
Curtis Wayne Wright Sr., 80, of Bonne Terre died Sept. 27, 2025. Mr. Wright retired from Chrysler after 34 years and enjoyed music, playing guitar, singing, riding motorcycles, traveling, fishing and horseback riding. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was born Nov. 11, 1944, in St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth “Jane” (Wilson) Wright, whom he married on Nov. 5, 1966, in St. Charles; four children: Curtis Jr., Jerry and Jay Wright and Windy (Brad) Rhodes; seven grandchildren: Michael (Ali) Fraser, Elizabeth Haas, Catori Wright, Lybbie (Dylan) Crane, Ethyn Rhodes, Hazel Overturf and Lyli Rhodes; and six great-grandchildren Riley, Morgan and Avie Fraser, Jaxston and Jamie Mosier and Toby Crane.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 12:30 p.m. today, Oct. 2, at Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel.
