Curtis Eugene Cadenhead Jr., 81, of Hillsboro died May 13, 2024, at Jefferson Barracks VA Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Cadenhead was a retired bricklayer who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, attending classic car shows and watching sports. Born March 13, 1943, he was the son of the late Berniece (Moore) and Curtis Cadenhead Sr.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Sharon Cadenhead.
He is survived by two sons: Curtis Cadenhead of Hillsboro and John (Gina) Cadenhead of Festus; two granddaughters: Samantha (Josh) Waynick of Hillsboro and Sabrina Cadenhead of Fenton; two great-grandchildren: Lincoln and Rowyn Waynick; and one sister-in-law: Peggy Fox of Ellisville.
He also was preceded in death by his two sisters: Nancy Cadenhead and Jackie Benton; and two brothers-in-law: Larry Benton and A.J. Fox.
A private service will be held in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks on a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
