Connie E. Rogers, 83, of Hillsboro died Dec. 6, 2024. Mrs. Rogers was devoted to her faith and her family. She was known for her kindness and grace. She loved attending church, reading, solving Sudoku puzzles and tending to the flowers in her garden. She will be remembered for her nurturing spirit and warm heart. Born March 2, 1941, in Mystic, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Arthur F. and Delice Norlean (Roe) Clark.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James J. Rogers.
She is survived by six children: Lynette Rogers, Brenda (David) Esparza, Kerry (Lori) Rogers, Gregory (Michaela) Rogers, Debra (Joseph) Summers and John Paul (Britiny) Rogers; 13 grandchildren: Chad Rausch, Jennifer Rogers, Kevin (Megan) Rogers, Jonathan (Brooke) Rogers, Kara (Bradley) Vyers, Mathew Summers, Philip (Amanda) Summers, Stephen (Carmela) Summers, Krysta Summers, Devon Wainman, Izabella Rogers, Maximus Rogers and John Paul Rogers Jr.; 14 great-grandchildren: Maya, Gabriella, Breanna, Brayden, Bodee, Bentlee, Zoey, Olivia, Jordy, Lincoln, Falynn, Abel, Bixby and Nadiya; two great-great-grandchildren: Gunner and Violet; two sisters: Carol and Charlene; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two sons: Nathan Rogers and infant Brian Scott Rogers; a grandson: Jeremy Esparza; and two brothers: Charles and Clarance.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. today, Dec. 12, at Redemption Church, 7301 Metropolitan Blvd., in Barnhart. A funeral ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, at the church. Burial will follow in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary-Robert Brown Chapel in Hillsboro.
