Christine W. Behrens, 71, of St. Louis died March 9, 2024, at her home. Ms. Behrens retired in 2018 after working 36 years as a nurse. She was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson. Born April 6, 1952, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Patricia L. and Lawrence Hefele.
She is survived by a child: Patricia (Randy) Garstang of Imperial; a grandchild: Evan Garstang of Imperial; and two siblings: Emmett (Tammy) Hefele of Hillsboro and Edward (Candy) Hefele of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by a sibling: Lawrence Hefele Jr.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis. A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
