Charles Richard Hulvey, 79, of Bonne Terre died Oct. 14, 2026, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Hulvey served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of American Legion Post 253 and VFW 3777. He also was an avid hunter. Born Aug. 27, 1947, in Crystal City, he was the son of the late Frances Marie (Stark) and William Hulvey.
He is survived by his wife: Iris (King) Hulvey; two daughters: Jennifer Marie Hulvey of Festus and Julie Kirkpatrick of Bonne Terre; a stepson: Larry (Melissa) Craft of Festus; four grandchildren; and three siblings: Brenda (Mike) Schneider of St. Charles, Marilyn (Charles) Baggett of St. Charles and Phyllis (Mark) Pollack of Washington.
He was preceded in death by a brother: William Leroy Hulvey.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until services at noon Saturday, Oct. 17, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Interment with full military honors will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
