Charles F. Peterein, 75, of Evergreen Park, Ill., died May 29, 2025. Mr. Peterein was born July 18, 1949, and was the son of Margaret and the late Charles Peterein.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 40 years: Janice (Roche) Peterein; two stepchildren: Kelly Kipp and Jenny (Mike) Daly; two grandchildren: MaryKate and Moira Daly; five siblings: Cheri (Bob) Lucas, Cathie (late Gene) Bequette, Bob (Judy) Peterein, Mike (Sally) Peterein and Corkey (Tom) LaFloure; sisters-in-law: June (late Jim “Butch”) Houston and Linda McHale; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members and friends.
Per Mr. Peterein’s wishes, there will be no formal services. A private celebration of life, to honor his love of music, will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Fund at kidneyfund.org, or to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge, Ill.
