Carolyn "Sue" Middleton, 86, of De Soto died Sept. 22, 2024. Mrs. Middleton worked at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis for many years. She was a De Soto First Assembly of God member and enjoyed attending church on Sunday. She was an avid reader and frequently visited the local library. Born Sept. 3, 1938, she grew up in the Annapolis area and was the daughter of the late Carl and Hilda (Pierson) McLane.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Nelson Middleton. They would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on the date of her death.
She is survived by two daughters: Lane (Rick) Rhoades and Carla (Jeff) Bunch, both of Valles Mines; four grandchildren: Jamie (Billy) Mueller, Angie (Ryan) Neidhard, Jaclyn Bunch and Rick (Heather) Rhoades Jr; 10 great-grandchildren: Ryan, Aiden, Olivia, Isabelle, Kaisley, Owen, Brantley, Jase, Olyssa and Keasten; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by two brothers: Laird McLane and Robert McLane.
A private family burial will take place at a later date in Mann Cemetery in Annapolis.
