Carolyn Sue (Belfield) Tweedy, 79, of Imperial died May 10, 2026. Ms. Tweedy was a member of the Eastern Star and was a Worthy Matron. She was a kindergarten teacher and a first grade teacher for Festus R-6 Elementary School. Born Oct. 6, 1946, in Ironton, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Ernest and Mary Frances (Mc Nabb) Belfield.
She is survived by three children: Gretchen (Kent) McWherter, Benjamin Tweedy and Jonathan Tweedy; two grandchildren: Tatianna (Melissa) Anderson and Kyra Shaffer; two great-grandchildren: Annalyse Maxwell and Elena Maxwell; a sister: Sharon (Rick) Reid; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the funeral home.
