Carolyn Ann (Bast) Streckfuss, 82, of Arnold died June 18, 2026. Mrs. Streckfuss was an active member of Immaculate Conception Church, now Holy Family, for more than 55 years. There, she stood by her husband’s side as he entered the diaconate and served for 38 years, all while supporting the parish school and numerous organizations. She was known for her integrity and kindness. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for the love, support and strength she provided for others. Born March 11, 1944, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Clementine (Kubiak) and Ferdinand Bast.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years: the Rev. Joseph Streckfuss.
She is survived by four children: JoAnn (Michael) Marty of Imperial, Jill (Bryan) Frenzel of Fenton, Amy (David) Oh of Inlet Beach, Fla., and Charles (Dawn) Streckfuss of Fenton; 11 grandchildren: Colleen (Jordan) Chapman of St. Louis, Nicholas (Alexandra) Marty of St. Louis, Erin (Alex) Fleher of University City, Joseph (Elisabeth) Marty of St. Louis, Abby (Steven Johnston) Frenzel of St. Louis, Emily (Zach) Frankenreiter of Washington, Anna (Everett) Jenkins of Fenton, Madison Oh of Inlet Beach, Fla., MacKenzie Oh of Inlet Beach, Fla., Hannah (Alex Shipman) Streckfuss of Fenton and Benjamin Streckfuss of Fenton; five great-grandchildren: Graham, Evelyn, Margot, Milo and Lawrence; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, in St. Louis County. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, at Holy Family Parish Center, 2300 Church Road, in Arnold. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Holy Family Capital Campaign to help build a new church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel.
