Caroline V. Mc Daniel, 83, of Festus died Nov. 18, 2025. Born on Aug. 11, 1942, in St. Louis, Ms. Mc Daniel was the daughter of the late Elmer and Bertha (Bainter) Schaper Sr.
She is survived by a child: Kenneth J. (Diane) Naes; two grandchildren: Benjamin Naes and Samuel Naes; five siblings: Ilene Brinkley Francis, Elmer Schaper Jr., Earl Schaper, Linda Dunn and Joan Roach; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandchild: Alexander Naes; and three siblings: Alfred "Butch" Schaper, Bertha "Marie" Long and Virginia "Penny" Franz.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Imperial. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
