Carol Faye (Schneider) Phye, 87, of House Springs died Feb. 18, 2026, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mrs. Phye grew up in Lipscomb, Texas, and graduated from high school in Darrouzett, Texas. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Otto for more than 50 years. Born July 18, 1938, in Higgins, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Hulda (Koch) and Fred A. Schneider.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 68 years: David W. Phye of House Springs; three children: Dan Wesley (Brenda) Phye of St. Clair, Daren (Nancy) Phye of Dittmer and Karen Phye of Union; two siblings: Ronald Schneider of Lipscomb, Texas, and Marlene Oglesby of Ottowa, Kan.; five grandchildren: Bradley (Daviann) Phye of Union, Amanda (Bradley) Walters of Lonedell, Diona (Raymond) Huffman of High Ridge, Jameison Phye of Dittmer and Amalia Phye of Dittmer; seven great-grandchildren: Addyson Phye of Union, Hayden Walters of Lonedell, Peyton Phye of Union, Kingston Huffman of High Ridge, Hadley Walters of Lonedell, Emmyrson Phye of Union and Emberly Huffman of High Ridge; two sisters-in-law: Charlene Schneider of Amarillo, Texas, and June Alfano of Wichita, Kan.; and numerous other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Melba Schneider, Mervin Schneider and Glen Schneider.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or a charity or church of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Foundation Cremation Services in St. Louis.
