Carmen Joseph LaPresta, 83, of Crystal City died April 28, 2024, at Riverview at the Park in Ste. Genevieve. Mr. LaPresta was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He worked for Ameren/UE and was a business agent for Operating Engineers Local 148 until he retired. Born Sept. 10, 1940, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Sadie (Hartman) and Carl LaPresta.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Helen (Rudisaile) LaPresta.
He is survived by two sons: Mike (Gayla) LaPresta of Ozark and Steven (Renee) LaPresta of Festus; six grandchildren: Justin (Lacey), Danielle, Cameron (Pauline), Jacob, Paul and Brian (Taylor); and three great-grandchildren: Sam, Eli and Collins.
A memorial Mass for both Mr. and Mrs. LaPresta is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 555 Bailey Road, in Crystal City. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and the Ronald McDonald House. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
