Guenther, Bobby

Bobby E. Guenther, 70, of Fletcher died May 29, 2026, at his home. Mr. Guenther worked for Vic Huskey’s gasoline and propane business and later for Universal Flavors. Born Oct. 12, 1955, in Vallejo, Calif., he was the son of the late Billy Eugene and Wanda (Houston) Guenther and his aunt and uncle who raised him, Shirley Johnson and the late Harold “Gene” Johnson.  

In addition to his aunt, he is survived by a son: Billy Guenther; a half-sister: Michelle Crye; two half-brothers: Marvin Wilson and James Hill; his aunt and uncle’s four children and their families: Shelley (Troy) Krodinger, Lonnie (Karen) Johnson, Regina (Bobby) Martin and Deborah (Brian) Blumenberg; several cousins and many other family members and friends. 

He was preceded in death by a brother: John (Diane survives) Guenther; and two half-brothers: Michael Wilson and Ronnie Wilson. 

Visitation is scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. G. Michael Rose. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
