Bettye Thomas Lindsey, 94, of Cadet died June 15, 2026, at her home. Mrs. Lindsey worked as an accountant/bookkeeper for International Shoe and for other companies. Born Dec. 15, 1931, in Sherrill, she was the daughter of the late Iva Estella (Johnson) and John Alexander Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Dale Lindsey.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law: Norma Lindsey of Cadet; three grandchildren: Katie (Steven) Ferry, Elizabeth (Holly) Lindsey and John (Beth) Lindsey; and five great-grandchildren: Ethan, Alexis, Madelyn, Camden and June.
She also was preceded in death by three sons: Doug Lindsey, Thomas Lindsey and Scott Lindsey; and eight siblings: Edna, Grace, Dora, Claudine, Mabel, Ed, Henry and Raney.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. until services at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
