Baron Paul Magre, 73, of Festus died April 11, 2024, at Fountainbleau Nursing Home in Festus. Mr. Magre was an accomplished guitar player and played with many local bands throughout the 1960s and 1970s. Born Feb. 13, 1951, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Henrietta (Rigdon) and Earl Andrew Magre Sr.
He is survived by two brothers: Eric (Kelli) Magre of Festus and Marty (the late Christy Lynn) Magre of Festus.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Earl A. Magre Jr.
Graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crystal City, officiated by Father Stephen Lian. Memorials may be made to Catholic Coalition for Life. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
