Barbara Susan Johnstone, 68, of Crystal City died Jan. 3, 2024, at The Woodlands in Arnold. Born Aug. 6, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Vivian (Fellers) and Richard J. Keplinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Jerome Joseph Johnstone.
She is survived by a son: Matthew (Suzanne) Johnstone of Silex; a sister: Ruth (William) Chavez of Westerville, Ohio; a grandson: Colton Johnstone; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a grandson: Jarett Johnstone.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home, officiated by the Rev. Adam Kaul. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Festus-Crystal City. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
