Barbara J. Schoelhamer, 74, of Warrenton died Nov. 22, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital. Mrs. Schoelhamer was a retired LPN. She then worked for SAS (San Antonio Shoe) and the Agape Thrift Store. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, Jeopardy and spending time with her family and animals. Born March 30, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna (Hawkins) Denny.
She is survived by her husband: Christopher Schoelhamer of Warrenton; four children: Christina (Chris) Cosgrove, Brian Schoelhamer, Jason Schoelhamer and Mandy Schoelhamer; a brother: Charles E. “Bill” (Mona) Denny of De Soto; nine grandchildren: Justin (Meghan), Evan, Dylan, Zachary, Michael, Emmalee, Aaliyah, Hali and Trevor; three great-grandchildren: Stella, Nora and Josephine; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Larry D. Denny and Oscar P. (Verta) Denny.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec.2, at Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto, officiated by Terry Crank. Memorials may be made to the donor’s local animal shelter. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
