Barbara J. Huck, 88, of De Soto died Feb. 4, 2025. Mrs. Huck retired as a P.B.X. operator for the Las Vegas Hilton and moved back to De Soto to help care for her mother, aunt and uncle. She was a member of the D.A.R. and the Teamsters Union. She was interested in genealogy and designing and building custom homes. She enjoyed watching her bird feeders, looking at nature and eating home-cooked meals. She will be remembered for her happy spirit and friendly nature. Born June 26, 1936, in Plattin, she was the daughter of the late Irene (Turley) and Harold Frederick Genrich.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph Thomas Huck.
She is survived by three children: Debi (Bobby) Fechser of De Soto, Jordan Huck of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mark “Moke” (Kelly) Huck of Grand Cayman Island; three grandchildren: Christopher (Wren) Fechser, Daniel (Jasmine) Fechser and Rachel (Brett Fellows) Fescher; three great-grandchildren: Benny Jane, Maya Joy and one on the way; and a sister-in-law: Zelpha Genrich of Crystal City.
She was preceded in death by a sister: Helen (Norman) Rudloff; and a brother: Harold Gene Genrich.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
