Barbara Elizabeth (Weiss) Inman, 80, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died Jan. 10, 2026, in Hedgesville, W.Va. Mrs. Inman retired as a registered nurse from the VA Medical Center. She attended Hedgesville Baptist Church and enjoyed serving the Lord and visiting the shut-ins. She also enjoyed baking and sharing the things she made with others. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was known as a ray of light who helped those in need. Born Feb. 1, 1945, in McAllen, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Richard Edward Weiss and Jane Elizabeth Dillon Hoffman. She was the stepdaughter of the late Norvil Hoffman, who raised her like his own.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Frederick Willis Inman.
She is survived by a son: Frederick “Wayne” (Takara) Inman; two grandchildren: Kaylee and John Inman; three brothers: Dennis (Nancy) Hoffman, Kerry (Bev) Hoffman and Jim (Sue) Weiss; a sister: Cher (Jackie) Orr; and her adopted Pa. and W.Va. families.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at Hedgesville Baptist Church, 2656 Butlers Chapel Road, in Martinsburg, W.Va., officiated by Pastor Jack Rudy. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, W.Va. 25430. Arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, W.Va.
