Barbara “Barbie” (Box) Boswell, 65, of Dittmer died July 2, 2025, in St. Louis. Mrs. Boswell was known for her vibrant soul and love for life. She enjoyed tending to her garden and spending time with her family. From riding dirt bikes as a kid to cruising on the open road on her motorcycle, she loved adventure. A natural performer, she also enjoyed strumming her guitar and singing. She will be remembered for her passion, creativity and love. Born July 10, 1959, in California, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Delores Box.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Daniel Boswell.
She is survived by five children: Amber Steinfeld, Adam Boswell, Danielle Boswell, Stephen French and Melissa (Jesse Sr.) Manasco; 13 grandchildren: Ashleigh, Brittany, Samantha, William, Aaron, Audrey, Bethany, Austin, Nathan, Sophia, Harmoney, Jesse Jr. and Clinton; five great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Timothy, Faith, Ry’niahh and Ezekiel; a brother: Fred Box; and numerous other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by siblings: Debbie Box and Michael Box; and a grandson: Joseph Steinfeld Jr.
A memorial visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, July 26, at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
