
Barbara Ann Jackson, 76, of Festus died Nov. 4, 2024, at her home. Mrs. Jackson was a bus driver for the R-7 schools for 26 years and was a member of Good News Community Church of Festus. Her interest in genealogy and local history also made her the Historian of the Jefferson R-7 school district. She also was a Farmington High School graduate. She loved crafts, sewing and crocheting and made many baby hats and blankets for the Nurses for Newborns organization. Born March 20, 1948, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Helen Marie (Batchelor) Geiler and Vernon Stanley Resinger.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Edmond Jackson.
She is survived by a son: Daniel Edmond Jackson of San Diego, Calif.; a daughter: Elizabeth A. (Charles R. Sr.) Statler of Festus; a sister: Bonnie (John) West of Farmington; and a granddaughter: Jennifer Lackey of Crystal City.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers: Vernon (the late Betty) Resinger, William (Sue survives of Farmington) Resinger and Roger Resinger.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main St., in Festus. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Justin Metiva of Good News Community Church. Burial will follow in Danby Cemetery in Danby. Memorials may be made to the Ozark Food Pantry. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
