Aurelia Ann “Reedy” (Aubuchon) Pennick, 92, of Festus died Sept. 13, 2024. Mrs. Pennick was a deli worker for many years, where she met her husband, David, in the pickle aisle. She was known for making friends everywhere she went; especially enjoying the senior center. She enjoyed dancing, mostly the polka and jitterbug. She also enjoyed feeding the birds. She loved nothing more than spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Born April 5, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Litteken) Aubuchon.
She was preceded in death by her husband: David Pennick.
She is survived by four daughters: Cindy (Terry) Wetz, Barbara Miller, Janice (Joel) Knobbe and Lynn Beckemeyer; seven grandchildren: Amanda (Steve) Feldmann, Melissa (Robert) Garber, Joshua Nicholson, Brooke Roth, Rachel and Anna Beckemeyer and Ashley Knobbe; five great-grandchildren: Lorelei, Bradley and Nicholas Garber, Benjamin and Megan Feldmann; and many other family members and friends.
She also was preceded in death by nine siblings: Joseph (Sarah) Aubuchon, Leroy (Betty) Aubuchon, Marcella Loraine, Dorothy (John) D'Angelo, Richard (Betty) Aubuchon, Edwin (Kay) Aubuchon, Raymond (Linda) Aubuchon, Robert Aubuchon and Joan (Leonard) Bauguess.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 21, at Hutchens Mortuary, 675 Graham Road, in Florissant. A procession will follow from the mortuary to the church. Mass is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, 1210 Paddock Drive, in Florissant. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Hutchens Mortuary.
