Arlie H. Ehlmann, 95, of St. Louis died Nov. 25, 2025. Mr. Ehlmann retired as a manufacturing engineer. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Imperial, where he served as an elder, president, trustee and teacher. He also was a member of Antonia PTA, Antonia Khory League, Missouri Choral Society and Orphan Grain Train. Born Aug. 3, 1930, in St. Charles, he was the son of Clara Ehlmann and Martin Ehlmann.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 44 years: Cleo Faye Brown; and his second wife of 27 years: Laverne Friedmann.
He is survived by five children: Patricia (Bradley) Rowley of Grand Island, Neb., David Ehlmann of St. Louis, Kenton (Linda) Ehlmann of Barnhart, Julie (Dave) Pace of Overland Park, Kan., and Barbara (Mark) Stephens of Barnhart; 18 grandchildren: Ethan, Rachel, Audrey, Logan, Kurt, Shannon, Kyle, Clay, Maggie, Meredith, Olivia, Caroline, Natalie, Hannah, Luke, Paul, Will and Kate; 24 great-grandchildren: Gavin, Tyson, Korben, Drew, Sawyer, Natalie, Reagan, Harper, Maddox, Tucker, Oliver, Braxton, Kaden, Tyson, Peyton, Onyx, Gabriel, Rheya, Henry, Gus, Davis, Avery, Gemma and Oakley; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 9907 Sappington Road, in St. Louis. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Imperial. Memorials may be made to Orphan Grain Train, P.O. Box 29346, St. Louis, 63126-0346. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County.
