Kluempers, Anna

Anna M. (Burbon) Kluempers, 96, of Cedar Hill died Oct. 21, 2025. Mrs. Kluempers was involved in the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Big River VFW Post 5331 in Cedar Hill and the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 343. She also volunteered with her husband at numerous events and fundraisers over the years. She enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, reading, watching old Westerns and spending time with her family and friends. Born March 1, 1929, in Ziegler, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Anna (Semyraz) and Jack Burbon.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years: James E. Kluempers.

She is survived by six children: Michael J. Kluempers, Katherine (Elbert) Cook, Patricia McCummiskey, Jane Stroud, Diane (Kevin) Moore and James W. Kluempers; 15 grandchildren: Michael, Kevin (Tiffany), Stephen (Brittany), William (Dave Onescu) and Jennifer Kluempers, Lisa (Nick) Meyer, Katie (Brian) Kinworthy, Jeremy (Melissa) Cook, Amy (Jeremy) Miller, Elizabeth (Joshua) Weseman and Joshua Cook, Leslie (Tyler Roth) Schwend, Zachary Stroud, Colin and Ethan Moore; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a son: Paul J. Kluempers; two sisters: Catherine (Barney) Schreiber and Mary (Howard) Roy; and three brothers: Charles (Alice), Walter (Bonnie) and Joe (Virginia) Burbon.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois Road, in St. Louis. Services will be at noon Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, St. Bonaventure Indian Mission and School or another charity of the donor’s choosing. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Affton Chapel.
