Aloysius “Pete” Reando, 90, of De Soto died June 29, 2026, at his home. Mr. Reando served in the U.S. Army and was a maintenance supervisor for the City of Hillsboro. Born Feb. 6, 1936, in Cadet, he was the son of the late Mary Rose (Catlett) and Walter J. Reando Sr.
He was preceded in death by his significant other: Judy Morice.
He is survived by four children: Troy (Cheryl) Reando of Festus, Tonya Crady of Festus, Chris (Tammy) Black of Waynesboro, Penn., and Jeff Black of De Soto; a sibling: Donald “Duck” Reando of De Soto; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by three brothers: Walter Reando Jr., Tony Reando and Marion Reando; and a sister: Rosemary Trombley.
Visitation is scheduled from 3-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto. A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto. Burial will be in Victoria Cemetery with military honors at a later date. Memorials may be made to Food for the Poor. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
