Aaron Dale Shelley, 89, of De Soto died March 4, 2025, at The Villa’s-Stonebridge in De Soto. Mr. Shelley was a retired supervisor for Dow Chemical. Born Sept. 7, 1935, in Herculaneum, he was the son of the late Hazel (Thurman) and Thomas Shelley.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Shelby (Harper) Shelley.
He is survived by two daughters: Debbie (Jim) Chick of Hillsboro and Cheryl Collins of High Ridge; six grandchildren: Josh Shelley, Brandon (Kerri) Meyers, Sarah Kostro, Caleb (Becca) Chick, Rebecca Bondurant and Bradley (Laura) Kinney; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild on the way.
He also was preceded in death by four brothers: Thomas Delno Shelley, Donald Shelley, Norman Shelley and Billy Shelley; a sister: Norma Ruth Shelley; and an infant grandson: Scott Queathem.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
