Florence Barbara Sacco, 82, of De Soto died Aug. 10, 2023, in De Soto. Mrs. Sacco worked for Walmart in the lawn and garden department. She was a member of the Columbia Anns in De Soto and was a foster parent for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in De Soto, where she was a certified parish school of religion instructor. Born July 9, 1941, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late George E. and Florence B. (Dinable) Judd and the biological daughter of the late Birda M. Travis.
She is survived by her husband: Joseph Sacco of De Soto; three sons: Joseph (Kerry) Sacco of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Edward (Amanda) Sacco of De Soto and Christopher (Sarah) Sacco of Rogersville; four daughters: Angel (Lee) Kiss of Toledo, Ohio, Deborah (Robert) Roth of De Soto, Stephanie Young of De Soto and Beth (Gary) Long of O’Fallon; a sister-in-law: Rosalie (Steven) Mateja of Texas; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by two brothers: George Judd Jr. and Joseph Judd; a brother-in-law: Jules Sacco; and two sisters: Rita (Perry) Schneider and Betty (Michael) Sulya.
Visitation is scheduled from 2 p.m. until a funeral Mass at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 504 S. Third St., in De Soto, officiated by Father Roger Fleming. Burial will follow in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Adopt-an-Angel program at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
