Doris Marie (Haynes) Petsch, 83, of Pacific died April 12, 2023. Mrs. Petsch was the retired executive director of the Pacific Agape Help House. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, jewelry making and spending time with family. Born July 15, 1939, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late William and Loretta, (Horst) Haynes. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 19 years: Floyd LaVear Sr.

She is survived by her second husband of 44 years: Charles “Charlie” Petsch Sr.; four children; Floyd (Trina) LaVear Jr. of Fenton, Linda LaVear of Dittmer, Timothy LaVear of Texas and Robert LaVear of Catawissa; five stepchildren: Donna (Jack) Ebenrick, Gina Boxdorfer, Cheryl (Bob) Bloch, Charles Petsch Jr. and Christopher Petsch; 23 grandchildren: Matthew (Christina) LaVear, Sonja (Steve) Michael, Benjamine LaVear, Bradley LaVear, Stephanie (Wesley) George, Tiffany (Adam) Farwig, Ashley (Joshua) Meyer, Anthony (Amy) LaVear, Andrew (Brittany) LaVear, Kassandra LaVear, Randy (Casey) Hawkes, Tosha (Rob) Luhrsen, Melissa (Gary) Hawkes, Nicole (Jason) Hawkes, Kristi (Todd) Straton, Cody Petsch, Trenton Petsch, Brandy Petsch, Kelsie Petsch, Hayley Boxdorfer, Nathaniel (Kim) Boxdorfer, Sara Bloch and Heather (Tommy) Bloch; 22 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by two children: Kenneth LaVear and Deborah LaVear Hawkes; two sisters: Jacqueline LaChance and Wilma Havener; and a brother: Ronald Haynes.

A private service and burial will be held later in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Parkinson’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Bell Funeral Home.
