Dennis F. “Sonny” Ramsey, 78, of Bloomsdale died Aug. 10, 2023, in Bloomsdale. Mr. Ramsey worked as a painter for District Council 2 and as an assembler at the Ford assembly plant in Hazelwood. He was born Sept. 29, 1944, in Clarksburg, W. Va., he was the son of the late Dennis Franklin and Sylvia (Schreve) Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Patricia Ramsey; and his second wife: Lurinda “Nikki” (Myers) Ramsey.
He is survived by three children: Peter (Melanie) Ramsey of Richwoods, Byron (the late Sherry) Ramsey of Hillsboro and Susan Schrum of Bloomsdale; three siblings: Nancy Ramsey of Fairmont, W. Va., Donald Ramsey of Morgantown, W. Va., and Kathy Ramsey of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at St. Stephen’s Parish Cemetery, 11514 Hwy. AA, in Richwoods. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
