Dean Henry Schwalbert, 73, of Imperial died April 27, 2023, at his home. Mr. Schwalbert was retired from Bussen Quarry He was a Vietnam War veteran of the U.S. Army and loved fishing, hunting and spending time with family. Born June 7, 1949, he was the son of late Leonard and Dorothy Schwalbert.
He is survived by his wife: Catherine Schwalbert; four children: Dean E. Schwalbert of Imperial, Maggie Schwalbert of Imperial, Nicole Harris of Webster Groves and Gina ( A.J.) Herrell of Cuba, Mo.; a brother: Jim (Marianne) Schwalbert, a sister-in-law: Mary Schwalbert; six grandchildren: Justin Schwalbert, Samantha Weber, Natalie Adams, Scott Porter, Tucker Herrell and Laine Herrell; and two great-grandchildren: Ellie and Millie Schwalbert, He was preceded in death by a brother: Kenny Schwalbert; and a sister: Sally Harry.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 13, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A graveside service with military honors will follow in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cypress Pointe Cremation.
