Cyril Francis Jennewein Sr., 91, of House Springs died Oct. 4, 2023. Mr. Jennewein was a mason and a bricklayer. He was born July 5, 1932, in St. Louis, the son of the late Amelia (Zimmerman) and Clarence Jennewein. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years: Florence Loretta Vermillion-Jennewein.
He is survived by 10 children: Dale, Pat, Mary, Art, Florence, Teresa, Cyril Jr., Carl, Carla and Chris; 25 grandchildren: Brian, Dale, Christina, Michael, Jason, Amy, Michele, Patty, Jeramie, Justin, Stevie, Artie, Jennifer, Kristie, Amanda, Shannon, Brittney, April, Ashley, Cyril Jr., Andrea, Carl II, Ricky, Billy and Alyssia; 41 great-grandchildren: Brennan, Morgan, Madison, Toby, Delaney, Michael Jr., Cole, Lillian, Kalie, Allison, Gabrielle, Chloe, Madison, Blaine, Katie, Taylor, Riley, Jayce, Brock, Ivy, Olivia, Avery, Grayson, Jackson, Maverick, Remington, Colt, Ava, Regan, Rylee, Ryder, Makinley, Riley, Kaylee, Noah, Paige, Grace, Carl III, Mel, Rhett and Lexi.
A graveside ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, in the Mount Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Road, in south St. Louis County. Arrangements are under the direction of Hoffmeister South County Chapel in St. Louis County.
