Charleen Ruth Jones, 97, formerly of De Soto, died July 26, 2023, in Festus. Ms. Jones worked in a shoe factory in Greenfield, Ohio, for more than 35 years. She was a member of First Christian Church of De Soto, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She also enjoyed traveling, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and spending time with her family and friends. Born May 16, 1926, in De Soto, she was the daughter of the late James Roussin and Virginia (Sullivan) Roussin Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold Jones.
She is survived by a sister: Eva Jean (the late Billy Gene) Eichelberger of Arnold; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Doris (the late Calvin) Washburn and Evelyn (the late Bill) Schnitker.
A graveside service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, in the Greenfield Cemetery in Greenfield, Ohio. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
