Betty Lea Wideman-Highley, 73, Saint Peters
Betty Lea Wideman-Highley, 73, of St. Peters died June 21, 2023, in Chesterfield. Mrs. Wideman-Highley worked as a cook for Crystal Donut Shop before she retired. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, karaoke, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Born Nov. 28, 1949, in Washington, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Clifford E. Jones and Dorothy M. Donohew. She was preceded in death by the love of her life: Donald R. Wideman.
She is survived by three sons: Bob (Anna) Wideman of De Soto, Donald Wideman of Park Hills, and Raymond Wideman of Festus; three daughters: Angela (Robert) Spearman of St. Peters, Christina (Joseph) Modica of St. Louis, Kimberly (Sean) Moebes of French Village; and 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto and was officiated by Pastor Ryan Sutton. Burial followed in St. Stephens Cemetery in Richwoods. Memorials may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance, 14 Pennsylvania Plaza Suite 2110, New York, N.Y., 10122. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home in De Soto.
