Richard Wayne Conway, 85, Arnold
Richard Wayne Conway, 85, of Arnold died March 24, 2025, in St. Louis. Mr. Conway served in the U.S. Army and Navy. Following his discharge from the military, he worked as a road construction foreman for Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of Local 110 Labor Union in St. Louis. He enjoyed antiquing, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, taking care of his dogs and sitting around the bar with his people. Born Oct. 3, 1939, in Eldon, he was the son of the late Josephine (Helm) Angel and Everett Conway.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Conway.
He is survived by a son: Chris (Megan Hellman) Conway of Arnold; a daughter: Robyn (John) Mann of Festus; three brothers: John (Pam) Conway of Columbia, Bob Conway of Kansas City and Mike (DeeDee) Conway of Pensacola, Fla.; two grandchildren: Savannah and A.J.; and many other family members and friends.
He also was preceded in death by his stepfather: Harry Angel; four brothers: Gene Conway, Ed Conway, Butch Conway and Jack Conway; and four sisters: JoAnn Hoffman, Linda Houk, Vanessa Crooks and Mary Blanch.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service at noon on Friday, April 4 at the Mahn Funeral Home De Soto Chapel, 900 Main Street, in De Soto. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Missouri, 1201 Macklind Avenue, in St. Louis, 63110. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home.
