Jo Ann Davidson, 96, High Ridge

Jo Ann Davidson, 96, of High Ridge died Oct. 17, 2025. Mrs. Davidson was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Fenton. She enjoyed practicing her faith and serving her family and church. Born Oct. 16, 1929, in Cairo, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Josephine (Jelinek) and Loarn Shuemaker Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years: James “Whitey” Davidson.

She is survived by two children: Lu Ann (Mike Crane) Tralles of High Ridge and Bryan (Danette) Davidson of Arnold; three siblings: Ira Shuemaker, Don Shuemaker and Jeannie Kline; six grandchildren: Danielle (Cole Sr.) Duty, Alona (Nathan) Zornes, Isaiah (Sydney) Davidson, Micah (Alyssa) Davidson, Anna Davidson and Yura Davidson; four great-grandchildren: Cole Duty Jr., Carter Duty, Clayton Duty and Ezra Davidson; and many other family members and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a brother: Loarn Shuemaker Jr.

Celebration of life will be from 9 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at First Baptist Church of Fenton, 650 Oakwood Dr., in Fenton, 63026. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Fenton. Arrangements are under the direction of Fieser Funeral Home in Fenton.
