Homer ‘Jack’ Locke, 74, of Crystal City

Homer “Jack” Locke, 74, of Crystal City died on Dec. 17, 2025, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Crystal City. Mr. Locke was the owner of Freedom Smoke in Crystal City. Born June 1, 1951, in Chillicothe, he was the son of the late Gertrude “Peggy” Hill and Homer Locke Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years: Debbie (Whennen) Locke of Crystal City; children: Brian Locke, Amy Locke, Jennifer (Eddie) Cavahan, David (Tori) Carrell and Kathleen; siblings: Cathy Schobe and Linda Chandler; seven grandchildren: Lexus Carrell, David Carrell III, Alyssa Locke, Joseph Cavanah, Cameron Cavanah, Kendall Cavanah and Ariana; and a great-grandchild: Lea Cavanah.

He was preceded in death by a grandson: Brandon Locke; and siblings: Billy Locke, John Locke Nancy Ferraro, Mary Nicholson and Joyce Hind.

A celebration of life will be held at the Summitt Building at Crystal City Park with visitation at 5 p.m. and service at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16.
